EcoMinds Survey Implemented in Türkiye, Italy and Greece

As part of the EcoMinds project, a web-based survey was implemented in Türkiye, Italy and Greece to explore young people’s awareness, attitudes and expectations regarding climate change, sustainability and the green transition.

The survey collected responses from 119 participants across the three partner countries: 54 from Türkiye, 30 from Italy and 35 from Greece. The results helped the project partners better understand young people’s environmental awareness, their views on sustainable behaviours and their learning needs related to green skills.

The survey findings contributed to the preparation of the EcoMinds European Report and informed the development of the project’s educational materials, including the EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office mobile game.

EcoMinds European Report is Prepared

The EcoMinds European Report has been prepared as one of the main outputs of the EcoMinds project. The report brings together the findings of the desk research and survey activities carried out in Türkiye, Italy and Greece.

The report examines climate change awareness, sustainability policies, green transition practices and young people’s learning needs related to green skills. It also presents the results of the EcoMinds survey, which collected responses from 119 participants across the three partner countries.

The findings of the European Report provided an important basis for the development of the project’s educational materials, including the EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office mobile game and the Trainer’s Guide.

EcoMinds Mobile Game Pilot Testing Completed

The EcoMinds mobile game pilot testing has been completed as part of the game development process. The pilot aimed to test the draft version of EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office, collect feedback from young users and identify possible improvements before the final release.

The game was tested with 12 young people, who provided feedback on usability, gameplay balance, difficulty level and overall learning experience. Participants found the game enjoyable and educational, while also suggesting that the gameplay could be made more challenging and immersive.

Based on the pilot feedback, several improvements were made. The game mechanics were revised, the previous 3000-coin upgrade that made winning too easy was removed, and a short introductory storyline video was added to explain the player’s role and mission more clearly.

These revisions helped make the final version of the EcoMinds mobile game more strategic, engaging and user-friendly.

EcoMinds Trainer Guide Prepared

The EcoMinds Trainer Guide has been prepared to support youth workers, educators and adult trainers in using the EcoMinds project results in learning activities with young people.

The guide provides practical information about the EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office mobile game, its learning objectives, gameplay structure and sustainability themes. It also offers guidance on how the game can be integrated into non-formal education activities focusing on climate awareness, green skills, sustainable decision-making and the green transition.

By supporting trainers and educators, the guide aims to increase the usability and long-term impact of the EcoMinds mobile game and help project results reach wider youth and education contexts.

EcoMinds Mobile Game Released on iOS and Android

The EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office mobile game has been released on iOS and Android as a free educational tool developed within the EcoMinds project.

The game allows users to manage a virtual office and make sustainability-related decisions on energy use, water consumption, waste management, work-related transport choices, budget and employee morale. Through these decisions, players can observe how everyday workplace choices affect environmental impact and sustainability.

EcoMinds is available in English, Italian, Greek and Turkish. Young people, youth workers, educators and trainers can use the game as an interactive learning resource to explore climate awareness, green skills and sustainable decision-making.

The game can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the App Store.

EcoMinds Results Uploaded to SALTO Youth Toolbox

The main results of the EcoMinds project have been uploaded to the SALTO Youth Toolbox as open-access educational resources.

The uploaded resources include the EcoMinds European Report and the EcoMinds: Build a Sustainable Office – Educational Mobile Game & Trainer Guide. These materials support learning on climate awareness, sustainability, green skills and the green transition.
