The EcoMinds mobile game was pilot tested with 12 young people before finalisation.
The aim of the pilot was to test the draft version of the game, identify usability or technical issues, assess gameplay balance and collect feedback from young users.
During the pilot, participants tested the game and shared their feedback on its usability, learning value, level of difficulty and overall experience.
The feedback showed that participants found the game enjoyable and educational. However, they also stated that the game was too easy to win and that the gameplay could be made more challenging and immersive.
Based on this feedback, the game mechanics were revised. The previous 3000-coin upgrade, which made winning too easy, was removed. The game balance was improved and a short introductory storyline video was added to make the player’s role and mission clearer.
As a result, the final version became more strategic, engaging and user-friendly.
