Implementation Process

Activities & Implementation Process

The EcoMinds project was implemented through a structured process combining research, educational content development, mobile game design, pilot testing, dissemination and sustainability activities.

Activity 1

Research and Survey

Desk research was carried out in Türkiye, Italy and Greece to analyse climate change policies, green transition practices, youth awareness and green skills needs. A web-based survey was also implemented to understand young people’s awareness, attitudes and expectations regarding climate change, sustainability and the green transition. Findings were compiled into the EcoMinds European Report.

Activity 2

Development of the Mobile Game

The EcoMinds mobile game was designed and developed as an educational tool to help young people understand sustainability through office management decisions. The game was developed around key sustainability themes such as energy, water, waste, transport, budget and employee morale.

Pilot Testing

Pilot Testing and Game Revision

Before finalisation, the mobile game was tested with young people. Feedback was collected on usability, gameplay balance, learning value and user experience. Based on the feedback, the game mechanics were revised, the level of challenge was improved, and an introductory storyline video was added.

Educational Resource

Trainer’s Guide Preparation

The EcoMinds Trainer’s Guide was prepared to support youth workers, educators and adult trainers in using the EcoMinds mobile game and project results in non-formal learning activities. The guide provides practical information on the project, the learning objectives of the game, gameplay structure, sustainability topics covered in the game, and suggestions for integrating the mobile game into educational sessions with young people.

Dissemination

Multiplier Events

Four multiplier events were foreseen, and five events were organised to present the project results, promote the EcoMinds mobile game and share the European Report and Trainer Guide with the target groups.

Sustainability

Dissemination and Sustainability

Project results were shared through the project website, partner channels, newsletters, social media, SALTO Youth Toolbox. The website, mobile game and open-access educational resources will remain available after the end of the project.
